Optometrist – Yeovil & Chard – Robert Frith Opticians
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a clinically focussed, quality driven practice. You could work within a collaborative team of optometrists with a number of special interests. Amongst the team is four IP qualified optometrists, two doctorates, a glaucoma diploma, specialist contact lens fitter, two trained orthoptists and a dyslexia specialist. This practice is fully supportive of optometrists developing their special interests, including support for higher qualifications and they actively encourage staff to spend part of the week in hospital work. Five of their optometrists also work within hospital ophthalmology departments, doing glaucoma, macular, casualty, paediatric refraction and orthoptics clinics.
The practice itself is spacious, all air-con, extensively equipped including latest Humphrey VFA and OCT. The mail practice is in Yeovil and is one of the biggest independents in the South West, the sister practice in Chard is smaller but brand new and refurbished since a relocation in 2019. Both practices have well trained, welcoming support staff including four dispensing opticians.
